Café In is a small neighborhood cafe in New Jersey, specializing in coffee and tea. The owners were seeking to build a new identity for the café to separate itself from the digital golf range attached next to it. Focused on providing for the town’s residents and newcomers, Café In strives to form a welcoming community and become a comfortable space for all. The branding project aimed to be simple yet playful, reflecting the cafe’s goals and owners' friendly nature. We developed a logo that included an illustration of two animal-like characters that represented coffee and tea. It was important for the illustrations to have a hand-drawn quality to them to create a unique personality for the brand and invoke familiarity. We focused on dynamic visuals and the use of visuals to help customers understand what they were consuming, but also encouraging them to learn more about different beverages.
